Cuneatic's industrial sensing systems mainly focus on telecommunication network run-time surveillance,
environmental and geologic hazard surveillance, and fish-farming surveillance.
NS-1 FTTB Cabinet Working-Status Surveillance System
Applied industries: telephone company, internet connection provider, electrical company Integrated techs: CDMA/GSM, sensor, MCU and hardware, android, server and database
FTTB (optical Fabric To The Buildings) internet/telecom connection is now being widely used all over the world.
FTTB cabinets are the nodes of the system. These cabinets are usually outdoor installed, and many unpredicted factors
may impact the devices inside the cabinets. Thus monitoring the working condition of the cabinet becomes an important
consideration for the maintenance team. NS-1 is an exact solution for the above problem.
The NS-1 system consists of three parts:
the sensors and controls installed inside the cabinets,
the management software platform installed at the monitoring center,
and the optional smart phone applications for the service persons.
Solving Problems:
Unavoidably, many FTTB cabinets fail for various reasons. This is bad, but the worst is that the service providers usually
know the failures later than the end-users ¨C the service providers know nothing before the users call them to complain.
Meanwhile as they don't know the reasons of the failures, the service providers often send wrong persons with wrong
tools to repair. This costs much more than it should be. At the same time, the end-users also have to wait longer.
To solve the above problems, the service-providers are expecting such a system: ¡ô it can send the working data of all the districted cabinets to a monitoring center, so the surveillance becomes
much easier. ¡ô if any cabinet fails, the monitoring center will receive a report about the reason and the location, automatically
and without delay. When the cabinet works again, the center will also receive a 'recover' report. ¡ô the monitoring center knows when the service persons open the cabinets, and when they leave, to optimize
the human force arrangement.
¡ô report to the monitoring center when here comes fire, flood, power cut, or overheat ¡ô report to the monitoring center when the fire, flood, power cut, or overheat recovers ¡ô report to the monitoring center when the door of the cabinet is opened or closed ¡ô at the pre-set interval, send periodic reports with working data to the center ¡ô the center can enquire the cabinet¡¯s current working data ¡ô the cabinet can be opened by authorized text messages or ID cards ¡ô can still work by the back-up rechargeable battery even if the power supply cuts
The Top 500 Global Corporations for many consecutive years.
By the end of 2009, China Telecom owns 194 million fixed - line telephone subscribers, 62.36 million mobile (CDMA)
subscribers, and 61.75 million broadband customers. The total asset of China Telecom is 632.2 billion RMB. There are
670 thousands employees in total in China Telecom.
¡°FT Global 500¡± by Financial Times and ¡°The World¡¯s 2000 Biggest Public Companies¡± by Forbes. As of 31 December 2011,
the Group had a total staff of 175,336 and a customer base of nearly 650 million, and enjoyed a market share of approximately
66.5% in Mainland China.
¡ô China Telecom built its pilot project in April 2011, with 50 cabinets monitored. This project received high evaluation, and
three months after, China Telecom started the formal projects with thousands of cabinets monitored.
The new incoming projects are still expanding rapidly. ¡ô China Mobile started its pilot project in July 2012, and plans to begin the formal projects within the year of 2012.
The general system structure is as following. In some particular industry, the details of the sensors and communication may change.

The difference between the NS-1 and NS-1a controls: NS-1 can hold more sensors: on-board after-switch power detection circuit, on-board battery-low-power detection circuit, one temperature sensor input, one flood detector input, three analog inputs, five switch/digital inputs, one relay output, one output for the electrical-lock NS-1a is smaller thus suits for limited spaces: on-board after-switch power detection circuit, on-board battery-low-power detection circuit, one temperature sensor input, one ID card reader interface three switch/digital inputs, one output for the electrical-lock
